Pentair’s grant in early 2014 builds upon earlier funding awarded by their foundation for two community-led systems in Telangana, India. This recent grant will underwrite a portion of the first of a three-year Telangana expansion initiative to launch 100 iJal Stations across the state. They have provided important technology, including the six-stage Reverse Osmosis water treatment plants that address fluoride and other microbiological contaminants present in groundwater in rural India.
Pentair Foundation’s grant will lay the groundwork for the global water and equipment-protection company to contribute technical expertise into our design and operations. “Pentair brings significant engineering and management expertise to water,” says Ravi Sewak, head of India for Safe Water Network.
