The Osprey Foundation is a family foundation that strives to empower individuals and communities through education, health, economic opportunity and human rights in a sustainable way. They aim to inspire communities to realize their own potential to tackle the social, environmental, and economic challenges they face on a daily basis.

Osprey Foundation is underwriting our work with the community in Berekuso, Ghana where we are developing a financial package of support that provides other communities like Berekuso cost-effective capital to own and manage a community water system.

In addition, Osprey Foundation is providing grant funding that will support targeted activities to refine Safe Water Network’s financial tools, frameworks, and structures, in order to: improve our tracking, analytics, and reporting on financial performance; and, through engagement with stakeholders, advance the collective understanding of small water enterprise financial viability in order to strengthen the sector’s understanding of the financial proposition for such enterprises.

“Because the need for affordable, safe water is so large, the sector requires fresh and innovative ideas on how to attract the capital required to solve this crisis. We are pleased to be working with Safe Water Network and Berekuso in Ghana to test one such approach.”
