Modern Architects for Rural India (MARI) plays a vital role in Safe Water Network’s ability to empower communities to develop the capabilities to own and manage Safe Water Stations in India. MARI operates on the ground, with extensive local contacts with community leaders, the Gram Panchayat and other local and regional government authorities and ministries in the districts of Warangal and Karimnagar of Telangana. MARI has worked with us since 2008 and is a key partner in our current phase of expansion in Telangana to scale our local success.

MARI is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, registered under the Society Act in 1988, engaged in implementing programs for the community development in the rural areas of Warangal district. The organization has won many awards by District Collectors for its services and contributions in rural development.

MARI was established by a team of young professional social workers with an aim of investing professional knowledge and skills for meeting needs and concerns of disadvantaged communities and fulfilling their aspirations. For over two decades MARI has been intensively engaged in grassroots action pursuing the above objectives.
