Honeywell, a Fortune 100 diversified technology and manufacturing leader, is sponsoring 60 iJal safe water stations in Telangana and Karnataka from 2015 to 2017, serving approximately 194,000. This initiative addresses a critical need in India where 100 million people live in areas of poor water quality. The state of Telegana is ranked second in the country for drinking water problems. Water and sanitation-related illnesses account for more than 70 percent of diseases such as fluorosis in this region.

Honeywell Hometown Solutions (HHS), the company's corporate citizenship initiative, is committed to improving the world we live in by creating, supporting and nurturing programs that make a real, sustainable, and measurable impact in communities we serve.

HHS offers programming, provides resources and financial support, and encourages employee volunteerism in five critical areas: science and math education, family safety and security, sustainability, and humanitarian relief.

"Safe Water Network India is a terrific partner in our efforts, and we are proud to support their vision of offering communities access to safe drinking water in Telangana."
Anant Maheshwari, President, Honeywell India
