Acting USAID/India Mission Director Visits Hyderabad Water ATM
Keith E. Simmons, the acting Mission Director of USAID/India, recently traveled to Hyderabad to meet with Safe Water Network and tour a water-ATM-enabled urban small water enterprise (USWE). This visit was part of an effort to promote public-private partnerships that enable social enterprises capable of improving public health. This isn’t the first time that Safe Water Network has hosted a USAID dignitary in India: USAID Administrator Mark Green recalled his visit to a USWE during a speech at the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit; and MaryKay Loss Carlson, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, told an audience that the partnership with Safe Water Network “was so successful that USAID literally worked itself out of a job.”
