India Country Director Ravindra Sewak Presents At Workshop On Water And Sanitation Systems In India
On June 26, India Country Director Ravindra Sewak had the opportunity to present on Safe Water Network and sustainable safe water solutions at a workshop jointly hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the U.S. Trade Development Authority (USTDA).
Entitled the “Workshop on Water and Sanitation Systems in India: Leveraging Standards for Infrastructure Improvement,” this two-day event convened experts from the U.S. and India—from both the private and public sectors—to focus on standards relating to water supply, point of use, water quality, and wastewater. The event was attended by a number of key stakeholders, such as: Surina Rajan, Director General of BIS; Russ Chaney, the CEO of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and Board Chairman of ANSI; P.V. Hari Krishna, the Director of India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Mehnaz Ansari, the USTDA Country Representative for South Asia; and Aileen Nandi, the acting SCO for the U.S. Commercial Service.
