Safe Water Network And The Dutch Government Host Stakeholders In Ghana
Safe Water Network Ghana and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ghana recently hosted a partner visit to the community of Fodzoku, in Ghana’s Volta Region. Nearly 30 people, including the Director of Water for Ghana’s Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, as well as representatives from the public, private, and NGO sectors, traveled to see one of the H2OME! Stations implemented by Safe Water Network under the Ghana-Netherlands WASH Partnership Program. After meeting with the community’s traditional leadership, the group visited the station’s water source, pump house, and main treatment facility. After trying the water from the station’s water ATM, Dutch Ambassador Ron Strikker said he was impressed by Safe Water Network’s “organization, commitment, and use of new technology.” This excursion was covered in articles by the Ghana News Agencyand Modern Ghana.
