Safe Water Network Ghana Attends Wacee Conference

Program Manager Joseph Ampadu-Boakye participated in the West Africa Clean Energy and Environment Trade Fair and Conference, an annual event convened by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK) that focuses on issues such as water supply, water-resource management, wastewater recycling and reuse, and climate change. At the event, Joe interacted with various exhibitors, and, at the request of AHK, moderated a day-long side event on water management. As a next step, AHK announced that it will be launching a 3-5 member steering committee that will work to pursue funding from the German government for specific projects related to water supply and water-resource management, and has asked that a Safe Water Network representative join the committee.
