Safe Water Network Receives Third Consecutive Four-star Rating From Charity Navigator
Charity Navigator recently congratulated Safe Water Network on earning its third consecutive four-star rating. In a letter sent to Safe Water Network CEO Kurt Soderlund, Charity Navigator’s President and CEO Michael Thatcher wrote: “This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Safe Water Network exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work. Only 22% of the charities we evaluate have received at least 3 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Safe Water Network outperforms most other charities in America.”

In its quest to help donors, Charity Navigator’s team of professional analysts has examined tens of thousands of non-profit financial documents, and has used this knowledge to develop an unbiased, objective, numbers-based rating system to assess more than 9,000 of America’s best-known and some lesser known, but worthy, charities.
