Stone Family Foundation Supporting 2nd Phase of Direct-Piped Connections in Ghana

Ben Shergold, Investment Manager at the Stone Family Foundation, visited our Ghana office to observe our five-year field implementation program in action. This program involves retrofitting existing stations and constructing new ones for direct-piped connections, bringing safe water directly to homes, businesses, schools, and health clinics.

Ben also toured our water station in Adawso, 65 kilometres from Accra, engaging with staff and customers. He remarked, “Seeing the projects firsthand and understanding the operations, I now have a much greater appreciation of the achievements to date, but it also highlighted for me the importance of continuing to optimize and reduce costs to achieve long-term system viability.”

Safe Water Network and the Stone Family Foundation are now working to accelerate impact by expanding the direct-piped connections program.
