Community water infrastructure requires long-term support. To keep affordable safe water flowing reliably, we install water systems in partnership with community groups, social entrepreneurs, and local governments. Our operational expertise supports the development of resilient water systems, ensuring safe water is available for generations to come.

Our Operating Principles

Local Management

Community members are trained to operate and manage safe water enterprises. Community-based safe water committees provide oversight, hold stakeholders accountable, and increase reliability, equity, and responsiveness to the local context.

Financial Sustainability

Safe water enterprises are implemented in geographic clusters for efficient technical support and financial planning. This model increases consumer confidence and demand, generates the revenue required for financial sustainability, and keeps prices affordable for low-income families.

Data-Driven Decision Making

We rigorously monitor and evaluate our field programs to optimize operational and financial performance, and augment the social benefits. Our remote monitoring systems and our digital operating platform improve management efficiency, reduce costs, promote water quality, respond to customer behavior, and enable cost-effective scaling.
