Pooja leads Safe Water Network India’s monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts. A WASH specialist who has been engaged in project management, gender analysis, strategic planning, research, and communications for over a decade, she is recognized as a subject matter expert on the conceptualization, planning, and monitoring of sustainable drinking water solutions. In this position, Pooja has organized sector convenings, developed digital tools for water sector stakeholders, and has overseen the creation of online M&E platforms. She has helped to author more than 15 Safe Water Network publications, including sector reports, city water assessments, Field Insights, and Spotlights.
Previously, Pooja worked with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), as Assistant Director of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Division, having led an India-ASEAN Business Conclave in association with ASEAN governments and embassies in India and abroad.
Pooja is an Environmental Law post-graduate from the National Law School of India University, and has a Master's degree in International Business from Western International University. She has also earned certification in “International Water Law” from the University of Geneva and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and “Water Supply and Sanitation Policy in Developing Countries” from the University of Manchester.
