Over 500,000 people in need
Ghana’s Western region has a long coastline that borders the Ivory Coast to the west and Ghana's central region to the east. It also has lush green hills, fertile soil and the country’s highest rainfall - yet many people here still lack access to safe water. Gold is mined in this area, and off the coast, the Jubilee Oil fields reside, generating employment for the local economies. With the support of Ghana’s Community Water and Sanitation Agency, in 2013 we introduced the country’s first Safe Water Station equipped with Modular Ultrafiltration technology with plans to implement additional Stations over the next three years.
