Women, including those from marginalized communities, have always been a key focus of Safe Water Network. Through empowerment, outreach activities, and innovative interventions, we have been able to put women at the forefront of our work. For this virtual event on Women and Water, Safe Water Network brought together Nisha Biswal, SVP of Strategic Initiatives at the U.S.-India Business Council, Randhir Jaiswal, Consul General of India in New York, Bhavani Parameswar, President of Indivate Inc (ITC Group), and our own VP of Programs and Partnerships, Poonam Sewak.
This convening highlighted the changing roles of women in the clean water supply chain. How have we impacted lives? How do we continue to empower women through improved access to safe water?
