Expansion of Safe Drinking Water 'iJal Stations' in Telangana: Cost-Effective, Replicable, Sustainable Service Delivery


Safe Water Network India partnered with the Central Government’s Ministry of Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation, as well as local government and community leaders, to set up locally-owned and operated iJal Stations in Telangana, a region particularly impacted by illnesses attributed to unsafe drinking water. 

iJal Stations improve health and provide jobs in Telangana 

The report highlights the effects of iJal Stations on consumers in the Telangana region and to apply learned consumer behaviors to the next phase of expansion. The study concluded an overall improvement of health and increase in job generation for 50 livelihoods through the 25 stations.
