India Sector Review (2018)

Safe Water Enterprises (SWEs) provide safe and affordable water, working in tandem with piped water supply in addressing India’s clean water crisis. Safe Water Network’s research is bolstered by on-the-ground experience and field initiatives in India where SWEs have proven a viable option for increased clean water access. Our research also indicates the necessity of policy reforms that target public-private partnerships with fair risk management. Government intervention is also necessary for the successful expansion of SWEs.
